The purpose of the Family Education Committee is to facilitate ongoing school and community-based parent and family education programs which will enable parents to acquire knowledge, skills and techniques that will assist them with their children.

Planning occurs throughout the school year and the programs take place during the school year.

Anxiety in our Elementary Schools: Identifying, Managing and Overcoming Anxiety for our Primary Learners

During these times of uncertainty, school-age children may be experiencing stress and anxiety. Positive parenting practices can make a big difference. Become empowered to help build resilience in your children as you learn practical strategies to help your child recognize and manage anxious thoughts, behaviors and physical symptoms caused from anxiety.

525 Foundation – Dangers of Alcohol and Prescription Drug Misuse and Abuse

Presented in partnership with the Rochester Hills Public Library and the 525 Foundation, join us via zoom on Tuesday, March 2 at 7:00 PM for a virtual presentation of what you need to know about the dangers of alcohol and prescription drug misuse and abuse.

Becky Savage’s two teenage sons – Nick and Jack – accidentally overdosed on a deadly cocktail of alcohol and prescription drugs on the same night in June 2015. Becky and her husband Mike turned their unimaginable grief into a powerful message: educating students, parents, lawmakers and anyone else who will listen about the dangers of prescription drugs.
